Meet Conan
& Camila Rau.

We are Conan and Camila Rau, independent fiction authors working together to create stories grounded in research, atmosphere, and human detail.

Our interests extend beyond the writing desk.

A background in filmmaking, wildlife documentary production, and visual storytelling has influenced the way we observe the world and translate those observations into fiction.

We are fascinated by the relationship between people and places — by the way geography, culture, nature, and circumstance can influence the choices people make.

That curiosity lies at the heart of our storytelling.

We believe in taking the time to research, question, revise, and refine.

For us, writing is not simply about inventing a story. It is about creating a world in which that story can truly exist.
