Terms of Use
A working draft for formal review. It has not been adopted as the final policy.
1. Website purpose and identity
This website introduces the fiction and editorial work of Conan and Camila Rau. It includes book information, Journal articles, illustrations, author information and contact links. The authors operate from Kazakhstan and publish under the imprint RAU STUDIO. No company registration, business licence or separate legal entity is asserted by use of that imprint.
2. Text, illustrations and brand materials
The site presents the authors’ writing and their approved covers, illustrations, wordmark and avatar. Copyright and other rights remain with the authors or the relevant rights holders to the extent recognised by applicable law. Publication on this website does not transfer ownership of those materials.
The scope of protection for specific illustrations and other creative contributions should be confirmed as part of the authors’ legal review. These draft terms do not claim rights beyond those recognised by law.
3. Personal reading and reuse
The proposed permission is to browse the site and retain a private copy of a publicly available page for personal, non-commercial reading, subject to applicable law. That permission does not extend to republishing complete articles or illustrations, redistributing book files, selling copies, or using the authors’ branding in a way that implies endorsement.
For reuse, permissions, publishing enquiries or creative collaboration, contact couplewriterss@gmail.com. Uses allowed by applicable law are not excluded by this draft.
4. Books and external retailers
Kobo purchase links lead to an independent external retailer. The edition and destination are identified beside the link. Any purchase, payment, download, refund or retailer account is handled by that retailer under its own terms.
This website currently has no direct checkout, payment form or digital-delivery workflow. It does not ask visitors to enter payment-card information. A future direct-sales service would need separate approval, testing and appropriate sales terms before activation.
5. Reader Letters
Reader Letters is presented as a future, voluntary reader correspondence service. Registration is not open. Inactive signup controls do not register a subscriber or produce a subscription confirmation.
A newsletter provider, consent process, unsubscribe mechanism and final privacy information must be approved and tested separately before registration opens.
6. Third-party services and links
Links to Kobo, Instagram and YouTube take visitors to services with their own terms and privacy information. Those services are not operated through this website. Links identify a destination; they do not guarantee a third party’s continuing availability or a particular transaction outcome.
7. Information and availability
Book information and editorial material may be corrected or updated. The authors aim to keep the site accurate, but descriptions, retailer availability and external links can change. Please contact us if you notice an error.
Website pages may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance or because of hosting or third-party issues. Nothing in this draft limits rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Changes and contact
Material changes to website functions, permitted uses or external sales arrangements should be reflected in reviewed terms before those changes are introduced. The final published terms will identify their effective version.
